Working with strata councils for large apartment and condo complexes is some of our favourite work. We not only make a building look fresh and new, but can help protect wear and tear of the exterior which helps strata councils save money.

On average, in Vancouver, exterior paint should last about 5-10 years. We paint with pride, and we always complete our work. You wouldn’t recommend our residential painting services to other contractors, builders or homeowners in Metro Vancouver if we didn’t. Here’s how it works. When our work is done, you do a quality check. If there are deficiencies, we correct them. Last-minute requests? No problem. If anything appears to be out of scope, we’ll discuss it and find a solution. When you’re satisfied that the job is done, we’ll perform a full clean-up. Nobody likes late admin, so we’ll conduct finance reconciliation and send you an invoice promptly. The best part is that we offer a two-year warranty on our work, so if something comes up six months down the road, don’t worry, we’ve got your back.

Do you quote off of drawings and tender packages?
Yes, we work extensively with contractors bidding off documents and drawings. We love being involved early when possible, in the budgeting stages, so we can help our clients build the best budgets and timelines. When it’s time for fixed bids, we will ensure we completely understand the scopes of work and your requirements, then we will get you a comprehensive and competitive bid to help you book and execute your projects with the help of PLE Painting.
If you can’t look at our place, can you still give us a quote?
Yes, if you can give us information on what type of project you have, we can build budgets site unseen. The more info we can get (we have lists of questions for you to answer; pictures, real estate listing pages etc) the more accurate our budgets can be. Then we usually do the work on a cost plus/hourly basis, working within your budget. This approach allows us the maximum flexibility to meet your project requirements without having to do a site inspection prior to our crew arriving on day 1 to start their work.
Can or do you help us select colours?
Generally no, we want you to tell us the colours you are using. Paint stores have great selections of colours and professional advice; we can help you find the most convenient store in your neighborhood. We also work with some great designers who provide colour consultation services. In a pinch, we know some popular and widely used colours that we can advise in the right situations. Once you have selected your colours, we will confirm them with you and then purchase our paint. If you require test samples or draw downs to review your colours, we can arrange this with enough notice. As well, we stay up to date with the leading industry products so as to ensure you are getting the best possible quality of products for your budget.
Do you do small projects?
Generally no, but we are laser focused on developing mutually beneficial relationships with our customers. If one of our relationships can be supported by doing a smaller project, we will try and accommodate. But if you are looking for a one-off, small project like a washroom or some fascia boards, there is probably a better fit for you elsewhere.
How can I pay you?
We accept cheque or E-transfer payments at this time. We will issue you an invoice for all work we do/all payments we receive.
Should I supply my own paint or will you supply?
Leave it to us. Due to relationships with top manufactures and retailers, we get the best prices. As well, because we will be doing the ordering and pick up/disposal of the paint, it makes the process easy and efficient if we handle it all. Your job is to get us the colours, then we take it from there. At the end of the job, should you wish, we will leave you your left-over paint (just the right amount) and a colour schedule for your records; allowing you to be confident that you are organized when it is time to get PLE to paint again.
Who will my main point of contact be within PLE?
Good question: it will change at different stages of the process. We have systemized this in our effort to offer the best communication in the industry. Initially you will be speaking with our estimating team. Once you are confirmed for us to do the work, you will be contacted by our project management team (project manager and coordinator), who will be your primary points of contact until the project is complete. Once and while we are onsite, your site supervisor (on site crew chief) will be in ongoing contact with you as often as you want (project type dependent). Our site supervisors are experienced and highly trained in how to best communicate with you on an ongoing basis so that our crews deliver the best possible experience for you and all required information is being exchanged. With both your site super and project management team in communication, there will never be a time when you can’t reach us or are left in the dark. Regarding invoicing and payments, our accounting department will contact you at the right times to ensure you understand and are aware of what we are asking, so you can complete payments and always know where you stand.
